Jumping Ship

Back to back bouts of pneumonia dashed my hopes of completing NaNoWriMo this year.

I know. Bummer, right? Instead of completely accepting defeat, I figured I’d dedicate 2019 to working on the novel I started during my now defunct NaNoWriMo challenge. I was super into it; I actually plotted most of it out (which in and of itself is a miracle since I’m a notorious pantser) but then… Bam. I. LOST. INTEREST. I’d like to pretend that this was a new phenomenon but if I’m being honest, it’s my writing M.O. I always jump ship. I start a story, make good headway, and then start working on something new.

How do I stop bailing and finish a first draft?
